Planning for Coaching Conversation
Who do I need to be in this conversation? Who does my client need me to be? How do I need to show up? Supporting and Cathartic I need to continue to build the relationship and trust with her by highlighting her strengths and exploring her ideas for awareness and growth that I can continue to help her with. Key questions: How was the lesson for you? What struck you? What’s your vision for your teaching approach? How are you thinking about addressing the needs of all of your students? What has been challenging about this in the past for you? Prediction & Reflection If I use supporting and cathartic strategies then I feel that she will be open to having more coaching conversations with me. I will build trust with her so that in the future I will be able to push her thinking and practice in a more specific way. |
